IPv4 free address pool now empty

The IANA free pool of IPv4 addresses has been completely allocated.

Now that all the IPv4 addresses have been allocated to the regional registries, it will only be a short time now before the registries will be unable to fulfill new or additional requests for IPv4 addresses.  It does appear that the mainstream press has noticed finally and we can only hope now that this point will mark a movement toward the implementation of IPv6 rather than trying to extend Ipv4 further with workarounds and network address translation.
